Herishko directs a snowgun onto a slope on his family's farm in
West Taghkanic Monday, being the first area to makes snow for the
season. Heishko operates Polar Peak Ski Bowl, a small ski club with
a rope tow. Herishko said the temperature at the site dipped to
19 degrees this morning and he started making snow at 4:30am.
